 Brynmawr Town Council operate under the Freedom of the Information Act 2000 as laid down for Parish, Town & Community Councils, collectively known as Local Councils, in England and Wales.

Town Mayor 2024/2025 - Councillor Wayne K. Hodgins.

Deputy Mayor 2024/2025 - Councillor Mrs. Olwen Swales.

The political make up of the Town Council is: Labour / Others 12 Members.
